LED beacon lamps, oddly enough, are found in some of the most dangerous and most enjoyable circumstances people are likely to encounter. These are lights that are intended to either provide an indication of where a door or another important resource is or, in some cases, that are used for simple ornamental purposes, such as in nightclubs.
Because these are powered by LED technology, they can keep functioning for a very long time. A beacon lamp installed on the top of a service vehicle, could feasibly hold up for decades and vastly reduce the cost of replacement for a fleet. In an industrial setting, a 12 W LED beacon would be highly visible, even in conditions where ambient light is plentiful. This makes them ideal for denoting hazards, providing workers with an easily recognizable visual cue as to areas that they need to avoid.
